Leaders Peddle Vision for Buckhead Village

- Atlanta Business Chronicle, January 23, 2004

"The organization (Buckhead Alliance) has turned its sights of late on the Buckhead Village area, six square block area better known these days for boisterous night life than chic shops .... (Sam) Massell's vision would literally turn back the clock on Buckhead Village, by a few hours anyway. A long term transformation would remove a number of bars and replace them with mom-and-pop style restaurants and shops, similar to those found in the Georgetown area of Washington DC...The influx of multifamily developments gives you the critical mass that makes it practical for retailers to move into the Village". There are currently six new condominium and apartment developments under construction, which total more than 1,620 units.
